About Citlalli Brands

Citlalli is originally from El Grullo, Jalisco, Mexico. She graduated with honors from the Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM), one of Latin America's most respected universities, with a degree in business administration.

After moving to Solano County in 2001, she saw a challenge that affected many Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs. They had talent, determination and a strong work ethic, but often lacked the strategic branding, professional positioning and communication that build trust and credibility in the U.S. marketplace.

Rather than work for another company, she chose to build her own business from the ground up.

In 2004, she founded Alfa Design Services, focused on graphic design, signage, printing, brochures, menus, banners and marketing materials.

Without mentors or industry connections, she taught herself every part of the business: production, sign fabrication, vendor sourcing, commercial printing coordination, embroidery sourcing, promotional marketing and customer relationships. She attended industry conventions, invested in education and researched suppliers on her own.

The business became Alfa Promotions when she entered the promotional products industry through ASI, at a time when newcomers struggled to gain supplier access.

For Federación Jalisco del Norte de California, she worked on branding, publications and sponsorship positioning that raised the organization's media visibility. That work helped earn Alfa Promotions the 2012 Business of the Year Award from the Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

From 2018 to 2019, Citlalli served as President of the Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

During her term she helped modernize the chamber's systems, expand its bilingual outreach, improve its strategic partnerships and strengthen its branding, bilingual materials, sponsorship positioning and event visibility, helping create a more professional and cohesive presence for Hispanic businesses and organizations across Solano County.

In 2024 she launched Solano Hispano, her own platform to connect Spanish speakers in Solano County with information, resources and opportunities. Citlalli Brands is also a proud member of the Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and of BNI Successful Networking Pros.

Her philosophy has grown from helping organizations look professional to helping them build brands that increase value, trust and client retention, and leave a lasting impact on their communities.

Four ideas guide all of her work: strategic clarity, meaningful differentiation, consistent execution and brand integrity.

She holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership (MAOL) from the California Institute of Advanced Management (CIAM). Her studies shaped the Clarity Strategy Session and the AI implementation and automation behind the Citlalli Growth System.

In Nahuatl, an Indigenous language spoken in Mexico for centuries, "Citlalli" means "star." The agency carries that name for its meaning, not because it's the founder's name: Citlalli Brands creates star brands that shine in the marketplace according to their own potential. That's why the star is the only symbol in the brand, from the logo to the smallest detail on this website.

It's also the idea behind the line that closes our pages: "You were born to shine. Let's shine together."

Citlalli has been personally honored with the 2026 Pioneer Empresaria Award from the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce. Citlalli Brands has earned the 2025 Spirit of Solano, the 2024 BBB Torch Award for Ethics and a 2024 Certificate of Recognition from the California State Assembly, and the Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce named it Business of the Year in 2024, as it did in 2012 when the business was Alfa Promotions.
